Hi, I'm Masja – illustrator and designer of coloring books for adults.

Drawing is my great passion. For me it is a way to dream away to a world full of color, peace and imagination. A world where everything is allowed to happen. Without rules, but with all the space for fantasy and creativity.

From my studio near the sea I am inspired by the nature around me. Nature is my greatest source of inspiration: the colours, flowers, animals, skies and even the patterns in the sand amaze me every day. Old ornaments and art from distant cultures also touch something in me - you can see those influences in my work.

I draw all my illustrations by hand. I have been doing this since I was little.

As a girl I could draw for hours at my desk - and that has never really changed. Drawing gives me peace and joy.

In 2008 I graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. After that I followed a Master's degree in Fine Arts at the Sandberg Institute. That's where my love for coloring books originated - especially for adults. Because even when you get older, the need to create, to be still, to be absorbed in something beautiful remains.

What started as a passion for drawing, grew into my own company: Masja's Artwork . A flourishing creative adventure that I work on with love every day.
More than 98,000 coloring books have been sold, and every day I inspire thousands of people through social media (33,000+ followers) and my newsletter (more than 5,000 subscribers).
It feels like a great gift to be connected in this way.

With my coloring books I hope to pass on my childlike wonder about the world. So that you, just like me, can dream away in a world full of color and imagination. 🍀
